I spent the last 25+ years in cyber security, systems testing, and a wide variety of other geeky disciplines while working for a DoD contractor. At the same time, I was (and am still) an adjunct professor in the computer science department of a local university. While that life offered lots of interesting moments, I had little time to pursue my first love – researching information and organizing information.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of speaking at various technical events, using the research I was able to complete and presenting my findings in subjects like computer/human interface, the psychology of hackers, human cognitive biases, and more.
A few weeks ago I made the decision to retire from the DoD job and dive headfirst into research. I will continue to teach as I enjoy sharing knowledge and working with my students, I plan to grow my research efforts into a new career by working for businesses and groups who could benefit from detailed data they don’t have the time or manpower to do themselves.
I also plan to share some of the more interesting information here and on other social media platforms. I hope you enjoy!
